2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
I can personally say that before I got into this truth, I was constantly worrying. Whether it was worrying about money, bills, school, future plans or my relationships with friends and family, I had a lot of anxiety. A times, that anxiety turned into fear and it was hard for me to find a clear path for a solid foundation so that I would no longer have to worry. I later learned that The Most High in Christ is my foundation.
Once you get into this word and focus on following the commandments, you become a different spirit. It's like the old you is dead and gone; along with the vain thoughts and emotions. When you possess the knowledge and wisdom of the scriptures, you have a better understanding of the spiritual warfare that is going on in this wicked society. Having that type of understanding prepares you for everything and as a result, it eliminates all fears and worries, especially when you have The Most High and Christ on your side. If you fear the things of this world, chances are you don't fear The Most High. When you don't fear the LORD it's difficult for you to understand his statutes and judgements, so you're basically useless...
Being in this truth I now have a sound mind, even in this captivity. That is the spirit of endurance. I know how to treat people according to scripture and how to handle myself in situations that most people couldn't do. As repenting sisters, we all need to have the spirit of love, power and a sound mind!
