Proverbs 11:4

Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death...

One of Israel's biggest flaw is idolizing money and riches. We focus more on keeping the bank account strong while keeping our minds weak (Hosea 4:6). The Most High made it very clear however, that all the money in the world will not shield us in the day of judgement. Esau and the other nations believe so because they are not spiritual and don't fear The Lord. Unfortunately, Israel tend to follow these foolish beliefs of the other nations, not knowing it will lead us into a ditch.

Think of the story of Job and how The Lord humbled him... Some may shudder at the story but remember that The Most High is just in HIS ways and used Job as an example to show us how we must serve and fear HIM.

Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord. Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord. (Jeremiah 23 1:2)

As repenting Israelites we must remember to keep our faith in The Most High and Christ and not in our riches/possessions. We will be judged on how we conduct ourselves as servants, not on the material things we have. They are not a factor The Lord. He's so powerful and glorious that with a blink of an eye, all of those things can vanish and come to naught. Then where does that leave you?

If The Most High happen to bless you where you have more than your peers, give all praises to HIM and never make those things your idols. Remember to live for The Most High through Christ; so that you may be delivered from your enemies in the day of judgement (Luke 1 68:71). Lastly, never envy those who have the lavish  worldly things of this Kingdom. Chances are they have dealt wickedly to obtain them. If they are not walking in righteousness according to the scriptures, their material possessions means nothing!
